Shit happens
Yeah. It certainly does. Maybe not to you but to someone that you know. I got word the other day that a good buddy of mine has been made redundant. He is a wee tad older than me but he will find iot difficult to get another job in the same line of work that he has been doing. All the companies want the younger people now. (So they can pay them less probably) Like myself. when i sold my business and went looking for another job in the same line of work. They didn't want to know about the 21 odd years that i had spent in the trade. they wanted to know why I was applying for the job and would I accept this miserly wage packet they were offering. nothing about the experience. Shit happens indeed. There are many thousands of people out there like me and my mate. I am happy in my life and have a bit of backing to live on but my mate is going to be in much more diffs in the future if he doesn't get lucky in finding employment soon. I wish him all the best in his search.
Another job just stroked off the list today. i have just finished decorating the conservatory in readiness for the Spring. No doubt my wife will be adding more jobs onto the list while I sit here tying and enjoying some good music. not by the Rolling Stones this time but by a band that I first heard about in the 70's, Leafhound. If i had bought the one and only album when I saw it it would now be a good investment to a record collector. the last copy on vinyl that I saw went for nearly a thousand pounds. Not bad for a bit of plastic. I am going through a progressive period in my music collection at the moment. It's great when you are decorating. You can really get into it, feel the groove, if you get my drift. the next album on is an Austratian band called Taman Shud. For progressive junkies out there it's worth looking them up. Ebay is a great source for these obscure one album bands. Maybe only one album but the music is great. It makes me wish that I had learnt to play some sort of musical instrument when I was but a wee lad. Anyway, now that I've had my cup of Mango Tango tea it 's back to the list to see what has been added in my abscence. Maybe it's something easier for a change. Cheers for now
